I recently decided to dive into two very different books at the same time: 'Kiss of the Basilisk' by Lindsay Straube, a book that has garnered quite the hype for its intriguing storyline, and 'Hockey Boy', which brings a refreshing sports romance vibe. It’s quite the roller coaster switching between the intense, possibly mythical or suspenseful tone of "Kiss of the Basilisk" and the upbeat, passionate energy of "Hockey Boy." This dual reading experience feels like getting whiplash, but in the best way possible. What I really enjoy about reading these two titles together is how each offers something unique.
