The motley crew 🩷

You know that feeling when you watch a Pixar movie and just fall in love with the characters? Well, that's exactly how I feel about my own 'motley crew': Astro, Kuiper, and little Pixar! When people search for 'Pixar style' pets, I think they're looking for that unique blend of adorable antics, expressive faces, and heartwarming personalities that just leap off the screen. And let me tell you, my three fur babies embody that spirit perfectly. First up is Astro, my majestic merle Australian Shepherd. With his striking coat and intelligent eyes, he’s like the wise, adventurous hero of our little pack. He's always ready for an outdoor adventure, whether it's a hike in the woods or a game of fetch in the park. His boundless energy and loyal nature make every day feel like a grand cinematic journey. He can be so wonderfully goofy, too, with expressions that could easily be animated. Then there's Kuiper, our white and black spotted dog. He's the sweet, sometimes mischievous, friend who brings so much joy and laughter into our home. Kuiper has this knack for finding the comfiest spot on the couch – usually right on top of me! He's always up for a cuddle, and his happy-go-lucky attitude is truly infectious. He has a way of looking at you, head tilted, that just melts your heart, truly a character straight out of a feel-good animated short. And of course, there's Pixar, our tiny but mighty tan Chihuahua. Don't let her small size fool you; she's got a personality bigger than all of us combined! Pixar is the sassy, spirited one, often ruling the roost despite being the smallest. She's incredibly cuddly when she wants to be, burrowing under blankets, but also fiercely protective of her family. Her dramatic sighs and expressive little barks are pure comedic gold, making her the perfect 'Pixar style' diva of the group. Living with these three 'spoiled babies' is an absolute blast. People often ask what it means to have spoiled pets, and for me, it's about providing them with a life full of love, comfort, and joy. It's the extra treats for being good, the endless supply of squeaky toys, and the super soft beds they each have (even though they always end up piling on one!). We go on car rides, have special 'spa days' with baths and brushes, and enjoy long walks exploring new smells. Each day is an episode in their ongoing, charming saga. They truly are like characters from a beloved animated film – each with their own unique quirks and roles in our family's story.
