Drawing of the day: Spiral Page! 🌀
Today’s drawing of the day is a page full of spirals!
Materials:
- Strathmore sketchbook 5.5” x 8.5” size 📖
- Pilot precise V5 rolling ball pen 🖊️
I actually started this page a long time ago by drawing spirals all over the page - and left it because I had no idea what to do with it 😭
I finally decided to fill in all the gaps with lines and spirals of different shapes!
I think the page turned out really cool! 😎 🌀

Drawing spirals can be a fun and therapeutic way to express your creativity. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist, incorporating spirals into your drawings can enhance your artistic repertoire. Start by choosing a fine-point pen for detailed lines—this allows you to create varying thicknesses in your spirals. Additionally, consider using a sketchbook specifically designed for mixed media, as it can handle different mediums like ink, pencil, and even watercolor. As you begin, try creating a variety of spiral shapes—experiment with overlapping spirals or change the sizes proportionally throughout the page to create depth. You can also connect spirals to other forms for added diversity, such as flowers, stars, or geometric shapes. Remember to embrace mistakes—sometimes these unplanned designs can spark an entirely new direction for your artwork. If you find yourself stuck, look for prompts or tutorials focusing on spiral designs to help you get inspired. Join community forums where you share your drawings and receive constructive feedback. This can lead to personal growth and the discovery of new techniques that enhance your overall artistic skill. Happy drawing!
