Do this if your gel nails lift...
From my personal experience, one of the biggest reasons gel nails lift prematurely is improper use of the topcoat. Many people underestimate how crucial the topcoat is in sealing the gel polish and providing durable adhesion. When applying gel nails, after curing the colored gel, make sure to apply a high-quality gel topcoat evenly over the entire nail surface — this creates a strong protective barrier. Another tip I’ve learned is to always wipe off any sticky residue after curing the topcoat with a lint-free wipe soaked in isopropyl alcohol. This step ensures a smooth, shiny finish and prevents lifting caused by residual tackiness that attracts dirt and debris. Also, proper nail preparation before application cannot be overlooked. Lightly buffing the natural nail, cleaning away oils with a nail cleanser, and avoiding moisturizers before the set help the gel adhere better. If lifting does occur, gently push back the lifted gel and reapply a bit of bonding base and topcoat to seal it again, then cure thoroughly. This can save your manicure and extend its wear. Using gel polish wraps or stickers can also provide extra adhesion and durability if you find regular gel polish lifts easily. Overall, the key is paying attention to every step—from nail prep to topcoat selection and curing—to keep your gel nails looking perfect for longer.
