There are so many different things or what seems like nothing that can surface all of our emotions. This is normal and it's healthy for us to have emotions come up. We may be able to make sense of them later, but it's ok if we don't. The most important thing is to allow them to be there and be kind to ourselves in the process.
I help survivors of narcissistic abuse reclaim their independence and manage their minds. Healing is inevitable when you have the right tools and support. Never be beholden to anyone again including your own thoughts.

Experiencing waves of emotions is a profound part of the healing journey from narcissistic abuse. It’s important to recognize that these emotional surges, whether intense or subtle, reflect your mind’s way of processing trauma and rebuilding resilience. Many survivors find that emotions may not always make immediate sense, and that’s perfectly normal. The key is to give yourself permission to feel without judgment, cultivating kindness and patience as you navigate this process. One crucial step in recovery involves reclaiming your independence—not just from the abuser, but also from intrusive and negative thought patterns that may have taken hold during your experience. Managing your mind means learning to challenge and reframe these thoughts as well as establishing boundaries to protect your mental well-being. This transformation is more achievable with the right tools, such as mindfulness practices, cognitive behavioral techniques, and support systems including coaching or therapy. Healing from narcissistic abuse also includes educating yourself about the dynamics of narcissistic behavior and its psychological effects. Understanding these patterns empowers survivors to identify warning signs early, build stronger personal boundaries, and reduce self-blame. Online communities and recovery coaches specializing in narcissistic abuse can offer invaluable resources and emotional encouragement. Remember, healing is not linear; there will be highs and lows along the way. But with continual effort and compassionate support, regaining your autonomy and peace of mind is inevitable. Sharing your journey and connecting with others who have survived similar experiences can foster a sense of belonging and motivation. Ultimately, the path to recovery is a personal and empowering process that restores your voice, confidence, and freedom.
