Yes we can walk into work looking like baddiest girly in the office but what does that mean if you’re not taking the time to self care 💆🏽♀️
Here are some of my wellness tips for the corporate baddies:
1. Move your body 💃🏽
Let’s face it, we are sitting down most of the day and to prevent office butt and other health risk we gotta spend some time moving our body. This doesn’t have to be a long dreadful gym session if you don’t want it to be. I literally do Pilates in the comfort of my own home. Choose something you’ll enjoy long term this will allow you do it and do it often.
2. Schedule your meals🥗
I know it can be so easy to skip your lunch when we get caught up in the day to day task. By skipping meals increases your chances of over eating at night, weight gain, & increases health risk.
Block out time on your calendar to enjoy your lunch. Opting for meals that are well balanced will make you feel energized and it does something to your mental health as well. Eat well to feel well.
3. Enjoy your weekends 🍿
I can’t stress this enough. It’s crazy to me how people will literally work on the weekends and wonder why they’re burnout. Join a class, go out with friends, or take some time to rest.
This is going to help you out in the long run
4. Journal ✍🏽
Idk about you but for myself I keep a million things in my head. This literally felt like my mind was racing all the time so much so I would be thinking of work mess in my sleep. How annoying?!
Through therapy I found journaling has helped to close those open tabs in my mind. By brain dumping my day has also helped prioritizing my task for the next day.
5. Book the trip sis ✈️
Plain and simple. Having a million hours of vacation at the end of the year isn’t anything to brag about if your not taking the time to recharge. Stop worrying about being behind at work or what’s going to happen when you’re out. Stop it! You work way to hard for you not to take some time out and get away. This will help you to feel recharged and focused when you get back
