Many people often confuse blessings and freedom, thinking that experiencing God's provision automatically means they are fully free in a spiritual sense. However, true freedom is deeply rooted in our personal relationship with Jesus Christ. When we accept Him not only as our Savior but also as the Lord over every aspect of our lives, we allow His transforming power to break every chain that holds us back spiritually. In my own journey, I found that acknowledging Jesus as Lord required surrendering control over daily decisions, habits, and even my desires. It wasn't enough to simply believe; consistent obedience became key to walking in freedom. The verse John 8:36, "Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed," continually reminded me that freedom is a gift that demands acceptance and action. Another important aspect I've discovered is the need to renounce hidden agreements or spiritual patterns inherited from previous generations. These can create invisible barriers that hinder our progress despite our faith. By standing firm in the authority of Christ and declaring the breaking of any ungodly covenants through His blood, we open the door to lasting liberation. Colossians 2:14 encourages us by showing how Jesus wiped out the old requirements that stood against us. A key takeaway is the role of God as our refuge and strength, emphasized repeatedly in Psalm 46:1. In moments of struggle or temptation, drawing near to God brings protection and renewed courage to continue the path toward freedom. Spiritual growth is a journey filled with challenges, but with Jesus as our guide, every step moves us closer to the abundant life He promises. Overall, embracing Jesus fully—both as Savior and Lord—is essential to experiencing true spiritual freedom. It requires faith, obedience, and the courage to break free from past bonds through prayer, scripture, and community support. If you’re seeking freedom, know it begins with a personal encounter and daily surrender to Christ's love and authority.
