📅 Opened: April 22, 1998 — the same day Animal Kingdom first opened!

🌍 This ride was inspired by Disney’s vision to blend real animal conservation with immersive storytelling. Instead of animatronics, Imagineers created an actual African savanna in Florida, home to over 30 species roaming freely across 110 acres!

🚙 Today, Kilimanjaro Safaris remains one of the largest and most realistic safari experiences outside of Africa and no two rides are ever the same.
