What a year
Looking back on the year 2025, I realize how much of a pivotal year it has been for me personally and culturally. Traveling from Phoenix to South Korea opened my eyes to the beautiful contrasts and connections between two very different places. Phoenix, with its vast deserts and warm, dry climate, offered a sense of calm and space to reflect and regroup. The city's unique blend of urban life and natural surroundings made it a welcoming backdrop to plan my next adventure. On the other hand, South Korea immersed me in a vibrant, fast-paced environment that was both challenging and rewarding. Experiencing South Korean culture firsthand—from its rich history and delicious cuisine to the modern energy of its cities—was truly unforgettable. The technological advancements and the emphasis on community and tradition in South Korea showed me how a society can embrace progress while honoring its roots. This year also taught me the value of adaptability and openness. Navigating language barriers and cultural differences pushed me to develop new skills and a broader perspective. I discovered the importance of connecting with locals and fellow travelers, who shared stories and kindness that made my journey richer. As I reflect on 2025, I am grateful for these experiences that expanded my worldview and encouraged personal growth. Sharing these moments helps me appreciate how travel can transform us and foster deeper understanding across cultures.
