🔆 LandLab introduces Farm to Table Science activities that play at home. These experiments are simple, do not require special equipment, and children from three years old and up can do it. 👋
🌱 Experiment 1: Plant a spring onion in a glass of water.
Take the rest of the onion, cut the cone, soak the water. Observe daily growth. Experiment on what plants need to grow. Children will see life science from food at home.
🥕 Experiment 2: Separate vegetables by color and nutrients
Separate vegetables by color and learn that each color has different nutrients, orange vegetables have beta-carotene, green vegetables have iron, which is nutritional science in a tangible way.
🥬 Experiment 3: Wash vegetables and observe the surface.
Let the child wash the vegetables and tell how each vegetable touches differently. Practice scientific observation through the senses.
🎨 Experiment 4: Drawing and recording food
Before eating, let the child draw and record the colors, shapes, and smells of food, practicing scientist-style observation skills.
🧐 Experiment 5: Question: "Where did this dish come from?"
Find out where each raw material is grown, how it grows, how it comes to our table.

จากประสบการณ์ที่ได้ลองจัดกิจกรรม Farm to Table กับลูกที่บ้าน พบว่าการทดลองเหล่านี้ทำให้เด็กได้เรียนรู้วิทยาศาสตร์แบบง่าย ๆ ผ่านสิ่งที่จับต้องได้จริง และยิ่งทำให้เด็กอยากรู้อยากเห็นมากขึ้น เช่น การปลูกต้นหอมในแก้วน้ำที่ใช้เศษต้นหอมจากครัว ไม่เพียงแต่ดูแลต้นไม้เท่านั้น แต่ยังสอนให้รู้ว่าพืชต้องการน้ำ แสง และอาหาร นอกจากนี้ การแยกผักตามสีและสารอาหารยังช่วยให้เด็กเข้าใจเรื่องโภชนาการแบบสนุกและง่าย เช่น ผักสีส้มมีสารเบต้าแคโรทีนช่วยบำรุงสายตา และผักใบเขียวมีธาตุเหล็ก ช่วยสร้างเม็ดเลือดแดง การล้างผักและสังเกตพื้นผิวช่วยฝึกการใช้ประสาทสัมผัสและความระมัดระวังเรื่องสุขอนามัย การวาดรูปและบันทึกสีสัน รูปร่าง และกลิ่นของอาหารทำให้เด็กรู้จักสังเกตอย่างละเอียดและบันทึกความรู้สึกของตัวเอง ส่วนการตั้งคำถามว่า "อาหารมาจากไหน" ช่วยฝึกกระบวนการคิดแบบ Critical Thinking เช่น วัตถุดิบปลูกที่ไหน โตอย่างไร และถึงมือเราได้อย่างไร กิจกรรมเหล่านี้นอกจากจะเพิ่มพูนความรู้ทางวิทยาศาสตร์และโภชนาการแล้ว ยังเป็นเวลาคุณภาพที่ทำให้ครอบครัวได้ใกล้ชิดกันมากขึ้น และสร้างความทรงจำดี ๆ ที่เด็กจะจดจำไปนาน เมื่อเด็กได้มีส่วนร่วมจริง ๆ และทันทีที่เด็กได้ทำด้วยตัวเอง จะเห็นถึงความภูมิใจ และความตั้งใจในสิ่งที่กำลังเรียนรู้ สำหรับผู้ปกครองที่ต้องการขยายกิจกรรมไปสู่การออกนอกบ้านหรือร่วมกิจกรรมกับเพื่อน ๆ ที่ LandLab ไทรน้อย นนทบุรี ก็เป็นอีกหนึ่งตัวเลือกที่ดี เพราะมีทั้งกิจกรรมสนุกสนานและทีมงานให้คำปรึกษา เพิ่มเติมความมั่นใจและแรงบันดาลใจในการพัฒนาเด็กผ่านการเรียนรู้ที่ครบถ้วนและสมบูรณ์มากยิ่งขึ้น
