Same person what changed. Understanding calorie deficit. Just to be clear if you went thru a similar transformation like I did via gym and nutrition or you did surgery or GLP big picture it doesn’t matter you don’t get extra credit
From my own journey and conversations with many who have transformed their bodies, I’ve realized that the principle behind all successful weight loss is a calorie deficit—burning more calories than you consume. It doesn’t matter if you achieved this through rigorous gym routines, careful nutrition, surgery, or GLP-1 medications; the body ultimately responds to the energy imbalance. In my experience, understanding and maintaining a calorie deficit is liberating because it puts the control in your hands. It helps you focus on habits rather than quick fixes. For example, while surgery or medication can accelerate results, they don't grant any extra points for consistency or lifestyle changes. The real challenge—and reward—is creating lasting habits that support a calorie deficit sustainably. Tracking your calories can be a helpful tool to build awareness, especially in the early stages. However, I found that over time, developing an intuitive sense of portions and food choices becomes more natural and less stressful. Exercise complements the deficit by increasing calorie expenditure and preserving muscle mass, which benefits metabolism. It’s also important to avoid getting discouraged if results seem slow. Weight loss is rarely linear, and plateaus or fluctuations are normal parts of the process. What matters is persistence and understanding that every small step contributes to your overall transformation. Ultimately, the message I want to share is simple: regardless of the path you choose, the science remains the same. The most important aspect is your commitment to consistent calorie deficit and sustainable lifestyle changes rather than seeking a shortcut or special credit for the method used.
