🤔Cons: the BUGS. They don’t quit, and they leave bites that itch like crazy. There’s an insect in the Bahamas called a sand fly, and they’re so tiny you can hardly see them, but they leave behind the ITCHIEST bites I’ve ever experienced. Be prepared with bug spray and don’t stand still - you’ll be a sitting duck
🤔Cons: the electricity and the water is not reliable. Either one can go out at any time. I’ve gotten good at roughing it and just pretending like it’s a survival challenge, but if you don’t want to be in my shoes, be sure to book a hotel with its own power generator and opt to stay somewhere with well water
🤔Cons: the expenses. Prices in the Bahamas can shock you if you aren’t prepared. Food at restaurants and grocery stores can be double what it would cost in the states. Not to mention souvenirs and services are also very expensive. Be prepared and research restaurants and plan your spending
