Rockefeller Center can be a nightmare… we went at 6 in the morning and there was barely a crowd. You could take pictures from anywhere around the tree with ease… we went back at 8pm the next night and had to wait around for a spot to clear out to grab any videos or pictures. Not to mention the streets were packed 😳 definitely go early in the morning for the best experience ❤️ #nyc #newyorkcity #christmasinnewyork #rockefellercenter #newyorkchristmas

... Read moreIf you are going to New York for Christmas, one important tip to follow is to plan your visit to Rockefeller Center early in the morning. The area is known for its spectacular Christmas tree and festive decorations, but it can get extremely crowded, especially in the evenings and on weekends. Arriving around 6 a.m. allows you to enjoy the iconic sights without the crowds and capture beautiful photos or videos with ease. Besides avoiding congestion, visiting early means you can experience the charm of New York City’s holiday spirit in a more relaxed way. The streets around Rockefeller Center tend to be packed by afternoon and evening, making navigation difficult and photo opportunities limited. Early visitors also get a peaceful moment to take in the decorations, ice skating rink, and nearby shops. Additionally, if you want to make the most of your NYC Christmas trip, consider combining your early Rockefeller Center visit with a morning walk through nearby attractions like St. Patrick’s Cathedral or Bryant Park’s Winter Village. Restaurants and cafes often open around this time, allowing for a cozy breakfast after your stroll around the festive area. So, when planning your Christmas itinerary in New York City, remember this simple yet effective tip: go early! It will enhance your experience, reduce stress from crowds, and give you a chance to truly appreciate the magic of Rockefeller Center during the holiday season. Happy holidays and enjoy your trip!
