Her career expanded over 5 decades. One decade in Broadway from numerous well known plays including Bubbly Brown Sugar (1976), Cominโ Uptown (1979), Regae (1980), Your Arms Too Short To Box With God (1980 & 1982), Porgy And Bess (1982), etc.
She was in the film The Whiz (1978) during The Emerald City Scene. Unfortunately, she passed away on March 16, 2026 from a heart attack. Mrs. Kiki Shepard is survived by her stepdaughter, two nieces, and a nephew.
It is reported she was briefly married to a successful businessman and philanthropist John A. Rodgers.
