Her career expanded over 5 decades. One decade in Broadway from numerous well known plays including Bubbly Brown Sugar (1976), Comin’ Uptown (1979), Regae (1980), Your Arms Too Short To Box With God (1980 & 1982), Porgy And Bess (1982), etc.
She was in the film The Whiz (1978) during The Emerald City Scene. Unfortunately, she passed away on March 16, 2026 from a heart attack. Mrs. Kiki Shepard is survived by her stepdaughter, two nieces, and a nephew.
It is reported she was briefly married to a successful businessman and philanthropist John A. Rodgers. Her passing sent many individuals in the entertainment and art industry into shock with tributes pouring all over. She is remembered for her artistry and philanthropy to The Sickle Cell Foundation.
