My favorite thing to do is carry my Bible bag around with me so that if I have some extra time or nothing to do I can pull my things out and study the word (on top of my daily set time with God already), so here are some of my must haves 👇🏼⬇️
1. My Holy Bible. This bible is my absolute baby! Without God I am nothing. I read the NLT version but of course any version works fine as long as you make sure to spend time with the Lord DAILY! 🙏🏼
2. A Bible study plan. If you’re just starting out or don’t know where to begin - it’s great to have a study plan to follow! I use the bible in 52 weeks plan for woman and love it. Definitely check it out if you haven’t already!
3. A bible study journal. I have a journal dedicated to learning the bible and this is where I take all of my notes and write down my favorite scriptures. I also love to add in “emergency scriptures” and my color coding and a lot of extra cool things in here. If you guys want to see more inside of it just let me know and i’d love to share! ❤️
4. A prayer journal. This journal is dedicated to writing down my prayers for God. I like to follow journal prompts in this journal and then follow it up with a prayer. Once my prayers are answered they get updated with the date as a reminder that he is always listening and working on me even when it doesn’t feel like it.
5. Highlighters, gel pens, and transparent sticky notes. These are of course a huge must have for taking all of your notes. 😊
(Acts 16: 25-26)
Don’t only praise God when you feel like it, but also when you’re the most uncomfortable and don’t feel like it. God doesn’t play about his children, so we shouldn’t play about our father! 💭

1. **Choose a Versatile Bible**: Select a translation that resonates with you, whether it’s the NLT, NIV, or KJV. Each version has its unique insights, so find one that speaks to your heart.
2. **Include a Bible Study Plan**: Opting for a structured Bible study can significantly improve your understanding and retention. The 'Bible in 52 Weeks for Women' offers a clear path for daily engagement with Scripture.
3. **Keep Journals Ready**: Utilize both a Bible study journal and a prayer journal. The study journal is for recording insights, verses, and thoughts, while the prayer journal allows you to track prayers and reflect on God’s responses over time.
4. **Add Supplies**: Highlighters, gel pens, and transparent sticky notes can be incredibly useful for emphasizing important verses or points during your studies.
5. **Incorporate Personal Touches**: Don’t be afraid to personalize your study materials, whether that's through color coding notes or adding personal reflections alongside scripture. This can help deepen your connection to your studies.
Furthermore, consider the importance of community in your study journey. Joining a Bible study group or online forum can provide support and varied perspectives on Scripture. Whether through social media or local church gatherings, sharing insights and discussing with others enriches your own understanding and keeps you motivated.
Lastly, regularly remind yourself about the purpose of these materials: deepening your connection with God, understanding His Word, and growing spiritually. Your Bible bag is not just about carrying materials; it’s a physical representation of your journey in faith.
