I’m currently reading the book of Proverbs this month and so each day I read a new chapter.
This book is so FULL of Wisdom! These pages hold so much instruction that we can apply to every aspect of our lives. Your Bible should be your BABY!
Parents, give the instruction to your kids and take it from others. At the end of the day we are all children of God and we should all be learning.
If you’re struggling with life i’d definitely recommend this book because it truly is packed with so much knowledge and instruction. One thing God would never do is lead us to stray! LISTEN to his instruction and APPLY THE PRESSURE 🔥🔥
“Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.”
... Read moreDiving into the Book of Proverbs has honestly been a game-changer for me lately. I used to struggle with finding practical, everyday applications in my Bible reading, but Proverbs is just overflowing with timeless wisdom that speaks directly to life’s challenges. It's not just ancient text; it feels like a personal guide from God, offering instruction that we can truly apply to every aspect of our lives, from relationships to decisions and even how we view ourselves.
One of the best ways I’ve found to really let these truths sink in, and to make my study feel more personal and engaging, is through cute bible journaling. My “Nighttime with God” routine has become a cherished part of my day. I set up my journal, my Bible, and my favorite colorful pens and highlighters. Seeing the highlighted phrases like “you must fear the Lord” or “Trust God completely” in my own handwriting makes them so much more memorable. I love adding a little creativity to my notes—sometimes it’s just a simple doodle, or using different fonts for key verses, making the whole process feel less like a chore and more like a creative spiritual practice.
I’ve been particularly struck by how Proverbs emphasizes wisdom as a gift from God. As my journal notes remind me, “FOR THE LORD gives WISDOM; FROM HIS mouth COME KNOWLEDGE & understanding” (Proverbs 2:6). This really encourages me to actively seek it, like Proverbs 2:1-3 suggests, by listening to His instruction. It’s not just about intellectual knowledge, but about understanding how to live well and make good choices. For example, Proverbs 3:5-6, which I highlighted, says to “Trust God completely, and never depend on your own understanding.” This has been huge for me, especially when facing uncertain situations. It reminds me not to lose sight of common sense, but also to lean into divine guidance.
Another profound insight I've been journaling about comes from Proverbs 3, which mentions “healing for your body” and also to “don't neglect your mother's instruction.” It's a beautiful connection between physical well-being and respecting the wisdom passed down through generations. And a more personal note I added next to Proverbs 5 and 6 was “SAVE YOUR body FOR YOURSELF,” which for me, has become a powerful reminder about self-respect, setting healthy boundaries, and truly valuing myself as a child of God. It’s about being a good steward of what God has given me.
Consistency is key, and making my study aesthetic and personal really helps. I don't aim for perfection, just engagement. Even if it's just one chapter a day, or even just a few verses, the act of writing down my thoughts and observations helps me internalize the lessons. It's not about being an expert, but about continually learning and growing. If you're looking for a way to deepen your faith and find practical guidance for daily living, I truly encourage you to pick up the Book of Proverbs and start your own journaling journey. You’ll be amazed at the wisdom you uncover!
