Employees do not usually resist change for no reason.
Sometimes the why was never explained.
Sometimes the change does not make sense for the people doing the actual work.
Sometimes employees were not included until the decision was already made.
Sometimes leadership has lost credibility from previous rollouts.
Sometimes the change creates more work without more support.
That is not always a bad attitude.
That is information.
Adults need context, relevance, respect, and a reason to trust the process.
If employees are hesitant, skeptical, or resistant, good leaders do not immediately label them as negative.
They get curious.
Because resistance can tell you where trust is low, where communication failed, where support is missing, and where the plan looks better in a meeting than it does in practice.
