It is wild how often someone is allowed to mistreat people for months or years…
But the second an employee finally names it, documents it, or sets a boundary, suddenly they are “difficult.”
They were not difficult when they were absorbing the stress.
They were not difficult when they were keeping the peace.
They were not difficult when they were making the dysfunction easier for everyone else to ignore.
They only became “the problem” when they stopped protecting the person causing the problem.
That is not leadership.
That is retaliation with a nicer outfit.
