When we bottle things up, it might look like we’re “holding it together,” but really we’re just filling our container to the brim. Feelings don’t disappear just because we ignore them… they build, leak, and sometimes burst out in ways we don’t expect. Therapy helps create space inside the container so emotions can move through, instead of spilling over.
