Circle of friends gets smaller with age? Is it normal? ✨🦋
I think many of us had a huge circle of friends during our school days. Back then, it felt like those friendships would last forever. Right?
But as we step into adulthood, things naturally change.
You start to notice that some people slowly drift away from your life. Not because of arguments or bad blood, but simply because you've both grown into different people. You no longer share the same interests, goals, or conversations. Sometimes, the only thing holding the friendship together is the beautiful memories you once shared.
There may also come a time when you realise that friendships you once held so dear to have changed. Maybe your friends started planning meetups without you, maybe they stop reaching out. While it may hurt, sometimes that's all the answer you need. Instead of forcing your way back into people's lives, it's okay to let go and move forward. ❤️
The good news is that adulthood also brings new friendships. You meet people at work or through different stages of life, and sometimes these unexpected connections become the most genuine ones. They are the friends who check in on you when you've been quiet, celebrate your wins, and stay by your side during difficult times.
If you're going through this, know that you're not alone. 🫶🏻 Growing apart from people is a normal part of life, and it doesn't erase the memories you once shared together. 🍃
Don't close yourself off from meeting new people just because you've been disappointed before. Keep your heart open. 🌻
At the end of the day, I'd rather have a small circle filled with people who truly care than a large circle where I don't feel seen. Hold on tightly to the people who love you, choose you, and bring you peace.
Sometimes, a peaceful mind, a grateful heart, and a few genuine people are all you really need. 🤍✨
