After my recent visit to Ponce de Leon Springs State Park, I can truly say it's one of Florida's hidden gems, perfect for anyone looking to escape into nature. It’s incredibly refreshing, especially on a warm Florida day, and the clarity of the turquoise waters is simply breathtaking – you can see straight to the bottom! For starters, remember that the Ponce de Leon Springs State Park tickets are typically paid upon entry, and yes, they prefer cash, so make sure to have some on hand. To truly make the most of your visit, remember to pack a few essentials. Aside from cash for entry, a good towel (or two!) is a must. Even on a hot day, the spring water can leave you feeling a bit chilly afterward, so a blanket or even a light hoodie for after your swim is a smart move. Don't forget sunscreen, bug spray, and water shoes, as the bottom can be a bit rocky in places. Coming during the week, if possible, can help you avoid the biggest crowds, especially during Spring Break.
