Christian doesn’t equal doormat!

Hey family! Hope your evening is winding down with PEACE✨ and PURPOSE🌟. I was sitting with the Lord tonight and reflecting on something we ALL need: FRIENDSHIPS❤️. God didn’t design us to do life alone, but let’s be honest—not everyone has a HEALTHY🧠 view of what real connection looks like.
Some folks will DRAIN🧃 you. Others will DEMAND📢 more than they give. Some don't understand the BOUNDARIES🚧 God wants us to have. And if we’re not careful, we’ll start believing that being “CHRISTLIKE”✝️ means allowing constant DISRESPECT🚫. But here's the TRUTH: You can LOVE❤️🔥 people and still PROTECT🛡️ your PEACE☁️.
Even JESUS👑 had boundaries. He had 12 disciples, but only 3 in His INNER CIRCLE👬, and He often stepped away to PRAY🙏🏾 and RESET🔄. We are called to be LOVING🫶 🏾, but also WISE🦉. Proverbs 13:20 says, “He who walks with the WISE📘 grows wise, but a companion of FOOLS🤡 suffers harm.” That tells me who we KEEP CLOSE🤲🏾 matters to GOD🔥!
So if someone consistently brings STRIFE💥, CONFUSION🌪️, or GUILT⛓️ into your space—it’s okay to take a STEP BACK👣. GRACE🕊️ doesn't mean you become a DOORMAT🧽. It means you choose to LOVE❤️ from a healthy distance when needed, while still walking in PEACE☮️ and KINDNESS😊.
Let’s PRAY🛐 for healthy, GODLY🙏🏾 relationships. Let’s also ask for DISCERNMENT👁️ to know when to LEAN IN🤎—and when to lovingly STEP BACK👣.
