Lead with Healing, not Hurt!

✨A Light 💡in the Night🌙

Evening family… let’s talk about something we don’t talk about ENOUGH in the Body of Christ 🕊️.

There are people PREACHING 🎙️, TEACHING ✍🏾, and EVANGELIZING who love the LORD deeply—but they haven’t HEALED from what BROKE them 💔. And without realizing it, they begin to SPEAK from their WOUNDS instead of the WORD 📖. The pain from their past starts to leak out into their MINISTRY, making their message SOUND more like CHASTISEMENT than COMPASSION.

This is why it’s CRITICAL that those who carry the GOSPEL also carry HEALING. You can’t give living WATER if your own well is CONTAMINATED 💧. That’s not to say God can’t use BROKEN people—He CAN and He DOES 🙌🏾. But if we don’t take time to DEAL and HEAL, our DELIVERY of the WORD may do more HARM than GOOD.

Tonight I’m CONVICTED to PRAY for our LEADERS 🛐… and for us too. That God will MEND the unseen wounds 🩹. That the Holy Spirit will DETOX any BITTERNESS, PRIDE, or UNRESOLVED HURT still sitting in the HEART 🫀.

Because when you’ve been HEALED by God, you don’t just PREACH better—you LOVE better ❤️‍🔥.

Supporting Scriptures:

🕊️James 1:20 – Human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.

🕊️Isaiah 61:1 – He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted…

... Read moreIn the world of faith and spirituality, the concept of healing plays a pivotal role, particularly for those in leadership positions. Ministry comes with significant emotional and spiritual burdens, often leading to personal struggles that can affect how leaders deliver their message. Many leaders find themselves speaking from places of hurt rather than from the transformative power of God’s Word. This outlines the essential need for leaders to seek personal healing, ensuring they can lead effectively and compassionately. One vital aspect is understanding that healing is not just a personal journey but also a prerequisite for authentic ministry. Scriptures such as Isaiah 61:1 remind us that God’s mission includes binding up the brokenhearted. By addressing their own wounds, leaders can become conduits of God's healing, enriching their ministry and fostering environments where compassion thrives. Moreover, seeking healing and wholeness allows leaders to engage more deeply with their communities. As they work through their own struggles, they become relatable figures who promote transparency and vulnerability, leading others to find solace in their own battles. This collective healing process within communities can lead to significant spiritual growth. Concrete steps leaders can take include prayer, counseling, spiritual retreats, and engaging in support groups. These practices can foster resilience and lead to a renewed sense of purpose, enhancing both personal growth and community impact. The journey of healing, though challenging, ultimately transforms leaders, enabling them to preach messages of hope and love effectively. By prioritizing healing, ministers not only enhance their own lives but also uplift those around them, creating a more compassionate and understanding church environment. In essence, when leaders lead with healing, not hurt, they illuminate the path for others, leading to a more profound and impactful ministry.
