Not Just in the Fire—Surrender in the Flow

✨A Light 💡in the Night🌙

Hey y’all! 💭 Tonight I want to share a REVELATION 🕊️ that hit me deep today during a work faith meetup. We often talk about SURRENDERING TO GOD when we’re STRUGGLING 😖—when the battle is loud and the pressure is high. But what about the QUIET moments? The DAILY DECISIONS?

The Holy Spirit showed me that SURRENDER 🙇🏽‍♀️ is not just a one-time cry for HELP—it’s a LIFESTYLE 🔁. It’s choosing to GIVE GOD our TO-DO LISTS 🗓️, our FINANCIAL PLANS 💰, our TEMPER 🔥, our DESIRES 💕, even our MINISTRY WORK 🛠️. Yes—sometimes even our ministry becomes a place of PRIDE if we haven’t given it back to God 😬.

We’ve been taught to HANDLE things, FIX things, PUSH through. But the Kingdom teaches us to LAY IT DOWN ✝️. GOD doesn't need us to HUSTLE for Him—He wants us to YIELD 😮‍💨.

So let’s shift our thinking: SURRENDER isn’t just for storms—it’s for the EVERYDAY 🌦️. It’s in our CHOICES, our THOUGHTS, our PLANS. It’s letting GOD be GOD in ALL OF IT 🙌🏽.

This concept requires recognizing the quiet moments amid our chaotic schedules where we can yield control to God. Instead of seeing surrender as an act of weakness, it should be embraced as a profound strength. Daily surrender can manifest in practical ways such as prioritizing our tasks through prayer, like the ‘to-do list’ we might scribble down. Remember that surrender is a lifestyle that invites peace into our daily struggles. In your journey of faith, it’s important to have reminders and scripture to lean on. Galatians 2:20 and Luke 9:23 beautifully articulate the imperative of taking up our personal crosses daily and letting Christ take the reins. Recognizing our attempts to handle everything alone can lead to burnout. By regularly surrendering to God—whether through prayer, meditation, or reflection—we align ourselves with His will. Our paths become clearer, and we embrace a more profound sense of purpose. Remember, in surrendering, we allow God's plans to shape our lives, leading us to true fulfillment.
