Leave Room For God…

From my own experience, it’s incredibly liberating to truly leave room for God in situations where we might feel wronged. Often, my initial reaction is to want to defend myself or seek payback, especially when emotions run high. But when I consciously chose to step back and trust God’s justice, I found a surprising peace that wasn’t dependent on the outcome I expected. Hebrews 10:30 reminds us that vengeance belongs to God, and this principle has helped me resist the urge to retaliate. By releasing the offense to God, I learned not only to protect my heart from bitterness and anger but also to maintain alignment with God’s character. Revenge often hardens the heart and can consume us with negative emotions like rage and frustration, but faith encourages patience and hope. Meditating on scriptures like Romans 12:17–19 and Psalm 94:1 has strengthened my resolve. These verses emphasize the importance of leaving judgment to God and trusting in His timing and justice. It’s not always easy, but when I choose obedience over emotion and rest in God’s perfect justice, it transforms my perspective and relationships. I encourage anyone struggling with feelings of hurt or betrayal to bring those feelings before God and leave them there. You don’t need to prove anything or carry that weight alone. God sees and knows everything and will handle it justly. This mindset shift has deepened my faith and brought a calmness that surpasses understanding—even in difficult times. Ultimately, letting God defend you is an act of faith and trust that brings freedom, peace, and spiritual growth. It frees you from the cycle of revenge and allows God’s light to shine through your response in every circumstance.
