Don’t Pick Up That Suitcase!
Let’s pray 🙏🏾 and get this day underway♥️!
Good morning, my blessed family. ☀️🙏🏾 Just a quick reminder today that GOD CARES deeply about what concerns you. Love y’all. 🤎🙏🏾
1 Peter 5:7 tells us to CAST ALL YOUR CARES on Him because HE CARES FOR YOU. That sounds simple, but if we’re honest, many of us bring our WORRIES, ANXIETIES, and BURDENS to the Lord in PRAYER 🙏🏾… and then pick them right back up again. 🎒
You’ve heard it said in church: LAY IT AT THE ALTAR. 🙇🏾♀️ The problem is we lay it down for a moment, but when we walk away, we grab that suitcase of STRESS, FEAR, and CONCERN and carry it right back with us. 🤦🏾♀️
God is calling us to real TRUST. When worry creeps in, intentionally turn your mind to JESUS. 📖 Pray. Worship. Meditate on SCRIPTURE. 🎶 Replace anxious thoughts with TRUTH.
Over time you’ll see something powerful. What once caused ANXIETY becomes proof of GOD’S FAITHFULNESS. 🙌🏾 The Lord is already WORKING IT OUT.
So today… bring it to Him and LEAVE IT THERE. 🕊️🙏🏾

One of the most challenging parts of faith is living out the call to genuinely lay down our worries and not pick them back up. Many of us have experienced that moment of relief after prayer, only to find ourselves burdened again by anxiety when faced with daily struggles. This cycle is familiar, yet breaking free requires developing a deeper, practical trust in God's promises. From my own experience, committing to a daily practice of prayer and meditation on scriptures such as 1 Peter 5:7, Matthew 11:28, and Philippians 4:6–7 has been transformative. These verses remind me that God not only invites us to cast our cares upon Him but also cares deeply for us and works in situations beyond our control. When feelings of stress arise, I intentionally shift my focus away from the problem and towards God's character—His faithfulness, love, and power to sustain me. Practicing worship and singing uplifting songs helps redirect anxious thoughts to truth, replacing worry with peace. Over time, this intentional turning to Jesus reshapes how I perceive challenges, turning anxiety into evidence of His ongoing work in my life. It’s not about denying struggles but about trusting that God is handling them, even when I cannot yet see the outcome. What helps me the most is treating prayer as an ongoing conversation rather than a one-time event. Instead of picking up that suitcase of fears again, I remind myself to leave my burdens with God continually, trusting He is my safe refuge. This personal journey, while not always easy, brings real peace and strengthens faith every day.
