Waiting For Change?
✨A Light 💡in the Night🌙
Hey family 🤎🌿 I pray your evening is peaceful tonight. The Pastor said something today that truly spoke to my heart💛🙏🏼. He said, “While you’re waiting on God to change the SITUATION, God may be using the WAITING to change YOU.” And that reminder settled deep in my spirit✨. We often think waiting is just sitting still until God FIXES something out there. But sometimes the REAL WORK is happening IN US🔥🌱.
Waiting seasons reveal our PRIDE✨, our FEARS✨, our IMPATIENCE✨, and the places where we’ve been trying to CONTROL things God never asked us to control🙌🏾. Sometimes the breakthrough isn’t the situation shifting — it’s YOU becoming who God needs you to be💪🏼💫.
So instead of asking, “Lord, when will You change THIS?” maybe the better question is, “Lord, what are You changing in ME?”🙏🏽 Because transformation is holy work… and God does some of His BEST shaping in the quiet, uncomfortable waiting seasons⏳🔥.
🕊️Scriptures to Meditate On🙏🏾
• James 1:4
• Psalm 27:14

Waiting on change can often feel like a challenging pause, yet it’s in these moments that some of the most profound transformations occur within us. From personal experience, I've found that when life’s situations remain unresolved, it forces a shift in perspective—encouraging patience and deep self-reflection. It's a time to confront hidden fears, pride, and the urge to control outcomes beyond our power. One powerful truth I've come to embrace is that waiting is not passive—it’s an active season of spiritual cultivation. Through prayer and meditation on verses like James 1:4, which speaks about perseverance leading to maturity, and Psalm 27:14, which encourages hope and strength in waiting, I’ve learned to realign my heart with God’s purpose. This process often reveals the areas in me that need healing or growth. The image content, emphasizing “Patience,” “Faith,” “Family,” and “Guidance,” resonates deeply with this experience. Community support and family remind me that I’m not alone in this waiting season. Furthermore, keeping a prayer list focused on purpose and trust equips me to lean into God’s timing. Waiting can illuminate the difference between wanting external circumstances to change and allowing internal transformation to unfold. The breakthrough may not always be what’s expected; sometimes it’s about becoming the person God needs us to be to handle future blessings or challenges. In my faith walk, I’ve seen how embracing this holy work in quiet, uncomfortable seasons strengthens character and deepens trust in God’s plan. It’s a continual reminder to ask not only "When will my situation change?" but also, "What is God shaping in me right now?" This shift in mindset brings peace amidst uncertainty and prepares us for the next chapter in our journey.
