Sebagai seorang yang baru mula belajar ice skating, saya dapati pemanasan yang betul sebelum mula meluncur sangat penting untuk mengelakkan kecederaan dan memperbaiki keseimbangan. Saya selalu memulakan dengan glide ringan untuk rasa ais dan memanaskan kaki, kemudian buat beberapa crossovers untuk menguatkan otot-otot kaki. Penting juga melakukan peregangan pada bahu, pinggul dan buku lali supaya tubuh lebih fleksibel. Saya juga suka buat beberapa putaran kecil dan loncatan kecil untuk menyediakan diri mental dan fizikal sebelum melakukan pergerakan lebih kompleks. Saya kerap mengingatkan diri untuk berfokus pada pernafasan dan visualisasi pergerakan sebelum turun ke gelanggang, ini membantu saya tenang dan lebih fokus sepanjang latihan. Dengan tip pemanasan ini, saya rasa lebih yakin dan selesa ketika berlatih figure skating.
