I will miss Braces : )
Today is my final day with braces… and somehow I realised there’s actually ONE thing I’ll miss.
Not the pain, not the cuts, not the cleaning routine…
But this very specific excuse I’ve been using for almost 2 years. 😂
If you’re on your own braces journey… what’s ONE thing you think you’ll miss?

Many people imagine braces as just an uncomfortable phase filled with pain and maintenance, but surprisingly, there are subtle perks that often go unnoticed. From my personal experience, beyond improving my smile, braces provided an unusual social shield. Whenever I turned down certain foods, I had a ready-made excuse — "Sorry, my braces won't let me eat that!" This little benefit spared me countless awkward moments at social gatherings. Additionally, braces can instill a strong habit of dental care, making you more conscious of oral hygiene routines. If you’re nearing your braces removal day or currently wearing them, it's worth reflecting on these unexpected positives. Personally, the braces journey taught me patience and self-care while connecting me with others experiencing the same path. While the physical discomfort fades, the memories and subtle advantages stick around longer than expected. So, what’s one thing you might miss about wearing braces, aside from the obvious? Sharing these moments helps us appreciate the journey, not just the destination.
