Blueberry Matcha
One of my go to matcha recipes ✨
If you’re looking for a low sugar, protein boost matcha that tastes like spring this recipe is for you 🫐 🍵
🫐 Syrup:
- Take a cup of either fresh or frozen blueberries and heat over medium heat in a pot on the stove with 1/4-1/2 cup of water until the juices start to release. Mix in a 1/2 - 1 cup (based on desired sweetness level) of monk fruit or sugar free sweetener of choice and mix till dissolved on low heat.
- Allow mixture to cool and transfer to a blender and blend till a syrup consistency is achieved.
- Transfer syrup to a container and store in the fridge.
🍵: ippodo Ummon Matcha
- Sift 1 tsp of matcha and pour in a few tablespoons of hot water to a bowl. Whisk vigorously until the mixture froths and small bubbles form. I like to also add a sweetener such as sugar free vanilla, honey, or agave and whisk it in with my match for added sweetness :)
Constructing the Latte🧋:
- Put ice in a glass and add a couple tablespoons of your blueberry syrup.
- Add your vanilla protein shake, powder, or protein milk of choice, I like to mix 4-6 oz. with a scoop of collagen peptides for a protein boost with no added taste.
- Pour your matcha on top and done! I like to add a whipped topping or cold foam on top, the one I used today is a blueberry whipped cream, enjoy!
