From Process Control Line Engineer to Inter-level Executive! ๐งชโจ
.
Today, Lighthouse has a very interesting Case Study of "Nong C," a chemical engineer from a leading global chemicals company.
.
๐ Problems encountered (Challenge):
- Despite specializing in Process Control and having many years of practical work experience, when meeting or doing technical reports in English with foreign chiefs, there is a lack of confidence, which hinders promotion to Manager.
.
๐ Resolution (Strategy):
- Nong C chose to take a break to "invest with himself" in New Zealand for 36 weeks at the NZLC Auckland Institute.
.
Why 36 weeks? To get the language absorbed into the most natural communication (Immersion).
- Post-graduate goal: Return to upgrade yourself to Senior Engineer or Manager in a leading multinational company.
.
โจ Thoughts from this case.
- Technical knowledge makes us work, but communication skills will make us "progress" further.
