seven days in june by tia williams! 📑📚

omg i’m so excited that i’ve finally read and finished this story!

i really liked the main characters and i liked that they felt real. they felt like they were made for each other and it was very cool to see how they kept coming back to each other!

i was taken out of the story a bit by the pacing and the change in pov’s but overall pretty good. it did read like a classic for me though which can be hard!

... Read moreOkay, so let's talk a bit more about 'Seven Days in June' by Tia Williams, especially since so many people are looking for details on this gem! When I first saw the iconic book cover – you know, the one with the two individuals embracing, often sporting that eye-catching Reese's Book Club sticker – I was instantly drawn in. It just screams romance and intrigue, perfectly setting the stage for the story inside. That vibrant cover really made me pick it up, and honestly, it’s one of those covers that tells you a lot about the vibe of the book without giving anything away. Being a Reese's Book Club pick always adds a layer of excitement, doesn't it? It usually means you're in for a compelling story with strong characters, and 'Seven Days in June' definitely delivers on that front. I think Reese's picks often highlight books that are not just entertaining but also spark conversations, and this novel totally fits the bill. It delves into themes that are both intimate and universal, making it a powerful read. Beyond the cover, what really stood out to me was the intricate dance between Eva Mercy and Shane Hall. The original review mentioned the characters felt real, and I couldn't agree more. They are deeply flawed, incredibly gifted, and their history intertwines in such a rich, complex way. This isn't just a simple romance; it's a story of trauma, healing, and rediscovering a profound connection that was forged years ago during a pivotal week. The way Tia Williams weaves together their past and present, revealing the secrets and shared experiences that bind them, is truly masterful. I found myself rooting for them even when things got messy. The original review also touched on the pacing and the shifting points of view, and I wanted to expand on that a little. While it did take a moment to adjust to the narrative structure, I eventually appreciated how the dual timelines and alternating POVs enriched the story. It allowed us to fully understand Eva and Shane's individual journeys and how their paths diverged and eventually converged again. It wasn't always a smooth ride, but that's what made their reunion feel so earned and impactful. It felt like piecing together a beautiful, bittersweet puzzle, and each shift gave me a new piece of their shared history. For anyone who loves a passionate, literary romance with depth, 'Seven Days in June' is an absolute must-read. It’s a book that stays with you long after you’ve turned the last page, making you ponder on fate, love, and the power of shared experiences. If you're looking for a book that's more than just a quick read, something that truly immerses you in a captivating story, then definitely add this Tia Williams novel to your list. It’s a powerful testament to first loves and second chances, wrapped in a beautiful narrative.
