This time, the whole 'family affair' angle with the Kirsch family seeking revenge for Richie was just chef's kiss brilliant. Ethan's portrayal, especially his transformation from seemingly innocent roommate to a cold-blooded killer, was truly chilling. It really makes you question everyone in those movies! He was always around, always a little bit off, but not in an obvious way. It’s that subtle build-up that makes the Ghostface reveals so impactful. And let’s be real, seeing him with that iconic black robe and bloody knife just hits different when you realize it’s him behind the mask. It’s a classic Scream trope, but they always manage to make it feel fresh. The 'Hello Sidney' calls are a cornerstone of the franchise, setting the stage for all the terror. While Ethan didn't directly target Sidney, his actions as Ghostface in Scream VI absolutely carried on that legacy of terror and manipulation. He was part of a new generation of killers, obsessed with the lore and continuing the bloodshed. It makes me wonder if they'll ever bring back the old-school retro phone Ghostface used to use, or if it's all about burner phones now!
