Cycle Day 1… ✨finally✨
I have been taking my inositol faithfully (which, let’s be real, is a thing worth celebrating in itself) and baby girl has finally started her period without the progesterone pills! I was actually really proud of myself because I have NEVER been able to keep up with a daily ANYTHING (vitamins, oils… NADA). So the fact I kept up with inositol and SEEN RESULTS!? Amazing. Most women hate their periods, but for a woman TTC (with PCOS), it’s a GOD SEND. With that being said, send baby dust as I finally get the chance to track for ovulation! Seeing “CD 1” instead of “CD 310” is so satisfying.
Feel free to send any tips to a future mama TTC! #PCOS #TTCJourney #blackfertility #TTC
Taking charge of your fertility journey with PCOS can often feel overwhelming, but incorporating supplements like inositol has shown promising results for many women. Inositol, a naturally occurring sugar, plays a key role in insulin regulation and ovarian function. For those with PCOS, it may help restore hormonal balance and promote regular menstrual cycles. From my own experience and the stories shared by many TTC (Trying to Conceive) women, consistency is crucial. Maintaining a daily routine, particularly with supplements like inositol, can be challenging—but it’s well worth the effort when you finally see progress such as a regular period without hormonal intervention. Moreover, tracking ovulation becomes far more reliable when your cycle resets to Day 1 naturally. Apps and ovulation predictor kits (OPKs) can be powerful tools here, enabling you to pinpoint your fertile window and improve your chances of conception. Aside from supplements and tracking, lifestyle changes such as a balanced diet, regular exercise, and stress management also positively impact fertility in PCOS. Many find that combining these approaches creates the best environment for conceiving. Remember, it’s a personal journey with ups and downs, and connecting with supportive communities—whether online or in-person—can provide motivation and shared wisdom. For those starting out or continuing this journey, I recommend consulting with a healthcare provider to tailor supplement plans and get personalized advice. And as always, sending baby dust to all future mamas out there striving to make their dreams come true!
