These organs serve as drainage pathways, filtering and removing harmful substances from your body. When these pathways become slow or blocked, symptoms like fatigue, headaches, or skin issues may arise — not because your body is failing, but because it’s overwhelmed and needs support. To support detox effectively, focus on gentle strategies rather than harsh cleanses. Ensuring adequate hydration is essential since water helps flush toxins via the kidneys and lymphatic system. Minerals like magnesium and zinc act as cofactors in enzyme systems that break down toxins. Movement, such as brisk walking or gentle yoga, stimulates lymphatic flow which otherwise depends on muscle activity to circulate and eliminate waste. If you experience worsening symptoms during detox attempts, this often indicates that your drainage pathways are congested.
