Being a social media manager at a well-known brand like Skechers involves more than just posting on platforms — it’s about juggling multiple tasks that require creativity, organization, and quick adaptability. From my experience, mornings usually start by catching up on emails and inbox messages, especially after taking days off. It’s crucial to prioritize and filter out urgent matters so you can plan your day effectively. Multitasking is a daily necessity; for example, I often answer emails while having breakfast or during short breaks. Quick team meetings help align priorities and project updates, which is essential to keeping campaigns on track. Staying active during workdays is also important to me. When the gym is unexpectedly crowded or equipment is being upgraded, it tests your flexibility—sometimes you have to get creative, like hopping on different machines until your preferred one is free. Cardio workouts, particularly on Woodway treadmills, help refresh and recharge after periods of being sick or particularly stressful days. Eating in and heating lunch at the desk saves money and maximizes productivity. The desk is often my base for tackling the afternoon’s content creation tasks, like reviewing and sorting through footage from recent commercials or influencer collaborations. Transforming raw footage into engaging reels requires focus and a creative mindset, and it’s rewarding to see the final content ready for launch. Following up with influencers is a big part of the role. Ensuring campaign objectives are being met and maintaining good relationships helps in driving successful social media outcomes. Overall, being a social media manager demands a balance between digital communication skills, content savvy, and personal wellness strategies to stay energized and creative throughout the workday. Embracing this dynamic lifestyle means learning to adapt on the fly and maintaining enthusiasm for the brand you represent.
