Recipe:
âĒ Â― cup unsalted butter, melted & cooled (112g)
âĒ Â― cup brown sugar (100g)
âĒ Â― cup granulated sugar (70g)
âĒ 2 teaspoons vanilla extract (10g)
âĒ 1 large egg (50g)
âĒ 1Â― cups + 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (185g)
âĒ 1 tablespoon cornstarch (10g)
âĒ Â― teaspoon baking soda (3g)
âĒ Â― teaspoon baking powder (2g)
âĒ Âū teaspoon salt (4g)
âĒ 1 cup chocolate chips (170g)
âĒ Âū cup holiday/Valentine M&Mâs (125g)
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and well combined.
3. Add vanilla extract and eggs. Mix until fully incorporated and glossy
4. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir just until a soft dough forms. Do not overmix.
6. Gently fold in chocolate chips and M&Mâs. Put dough in the fridge for 15 minutes.
7. Scoop dough (I rolled about 3oz cookie dough) onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing 2â3 inches apart.
8. Bake for 10â12 minutes, until the edges are set and the centers still look slightly soft.
9. Let cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
