doctor visits

🦠 What's the deal with parents not putting jackets or coats on their children? It’s 25 degrees, and the last two visits we had, I've seen MULTIPLE children with no jacket/coat or even socks, yet the parents sure are bundled up.

baby boy started having watery yellow diarrhea sunday evening, and it is still ongoing. I left a message with his pediatrician's nurse yesterday about his symptoms, and they asked me to bring him in the following morning. We ended up going to the Children’s Urgent Care around 7:30 last night because I was concerned that he might have the flu or become dehydrated. He was flu & rsv negative! We followed up with our pediatrician the next morning, and he has something viral causing the diarrhea, and it has to run its course. 🙃 we did get a prescription for ointment for his booty because that poop is so acidic and making him so raw, and of course, big mama had to get Starbies.

Many parents face dilemmas over whether to bundle their kids up, often observing stark differences in attire. Additionally, gastrointestinal issues like diarrhea can be alarming for caregivers. It’s important for parents to understand that a child's diarrhea can be caused by various viral infections—often resolving itself with time and proper care. When facing symptoms, timely communication with pediatricians is crucial to ensure appropriate treatment and management, especially in preventing dehydration. To alleviate discomfort caused by acidic stools, using suitable ointments can be beneficial. Educating oneself about children's seasonal health issues, such as the importance of keeping warm during winter, can safeguard kids’ well-being. Remember, quick access to pediatric care can lead to peace of mind amid these common parental concerns. Ensuring kids enjoy a balanced diet, staying hydrated, and getting proper medical advice can greatly reduce the chances of severe illness.
