OOTD 🎶 Winter's End - Joel Tumelty
tbh, I was kept up all night bc I didn't know what clothes to wear with my new capelet and forgot I had this cardigan 😅 tbf though, it kinda showed up in my closet one day and I think it was my mom's at one point so it's super tight on me 😮💨
I still have plans to sew a new long sleeve blouse but I feel like all the fabrics in my stash currently are purple and I've been trying to stay as low/no buy as I can but I feel like this might be necessary lol.
Oooh also! I really wanna try to get into dip dyeing my clothes eventually so that might be coming up soon! I can't wait 💖
🎶 Winter's End - Joel Tumelty
As winter draws to a close, embracing layers without sacrificing style can be a challenge. Capelets are a chic option for this transitional season, allowing for a stylish yet cozy look. When mixing and matching with other pieces from your wardrobe, consider the textures and colors you already own. For instance, pairing a fitted cardigan with a flowing capelet can create a balanced silhouette. In addition to maintaining a versatile wardrobe, sustainable practices are becoming increasingly popular in fashion. The practice of upcycling clothes, such as sewing or customizing existing garments, is a fantastic way to limit new purchases while expressing your individuality. If you're leaning towards a no-buy approach, consider refreshing what you already have by adding small DIY touches. Purple fabrics can be transformed into stunning blouses or accessories. For those interested in adding a new personal project, dip dyeing offers a creative outlet for wardrobe enrichment. Not only does this technique allow you to customize pieces to fit your style perfectly, but it's also a fun way to experiment with colors as spring approaches. Look for tutorials online to help get started! By engaging with sustainable fashion, you can enjoy expressing your unique style while making conscientious choices.
