Is this normal for Windows? The last time I used Windows was back in 2019 for an office job, it was frustrating, but not this frustrating. I got this laptop yesterday from my school and it took 2 hours for the out of the box setup 🤦🏻♀️
Now, today, trying to do schoolwork…this is the 2nd time it’s forced me to do an update 😭 not even the option to do it later despite my settings. And it force shut down 3x. If you’re wondering why people love Mac so much…it’s this.
Updated to add: I thought I was clear, but this is not the same computer I used in 2019. That was a desktop owned by the company I worked for. This is a brand new computer that is only a few days old, and yes, still doing hours long updates. It has not been sitting around for years. I did not choose this laptop, it is provided by my school. My personal computer is a 5 year old MacBook that still runs great and does not make me want to cry with daily updates.
Next update: Turns out it’s likely an issue with hardware. Tech support gave up, this is NOT normal 😂
