From my own experience, embracing this teaching transforms difficult relationships and promotes inner peace. When someone wronged me, choosing to bless instead of curse helped me let go of anger and foster reconciliation. It’s not always easy, but praying for those who hurt us can soften hearts — including ours. This approach echoes the heart of many spiritual traditions emphasizing forgiveness and love over vengeance. Practicing this verse encourages personal growth and a more peaceful community, reminding us that kindness often breaks cycles of conflict. Luke 6:28 invites us to break free from resentment and step into a life guided by grace and faith.

Today I tuned in to an online service at my church where the pastor spoke about this passage and Jesus’ power of restoration. But for me, this passage spoke more about how our own pride and judgement not only turns others away from Christ, but prevents us from becoming who Christ wants us to be.
