Weight loss journey
It’s a lifestyle 👏🙌🏼👏
Embarking on a weight loss journey is truly a commitment to adopting a healthier lifestyle rather than just pursuing short-term results. In my experience, focusing on both weight and body fat percentage has been crucial. According to my progress recorded since July 26, 2022, I have lost over 41 pounds and reduced my body fat by 11%, achieving a body fat goal of 25%. One key insight I gathered is that tracking multiple metrics—weight, BMI, and body fat—provides a fuller picture of health improvements. Weight alone can be misleading due to muscle gain or water retention, but measuring body fat percentage helps reflect true fat loss. Such data motivated me to celebrate milestones beyond just the numbers on the scale. Changing mindset was another vital element in this journey. Rather than seeing it as a temporary diet, I embraced it as a lifestyle change. This meant finding joyful ways to move, enjoy nutritious foods, and allow flexibility to avoid burnout. Small, consistent changes over time ultimately led to meaningful progress without feeling deprived. Lastly, community support and sharing experiences helped me stay accountable and motivated. Weight loss truly becomes more sustainable when you acknowledge that it's not just about the number but about enhancing overall well-being and self-care. For anyone starting or struggling with weight loss, focusing on sustainable habits and being patient with your body's changes can make the journey rewarding and empowering.
