Things keeping me level-headed lately… ✝️

When I chose to pursue trading professionally, I knew it would require grinding, learning, trial and error — and above all, persistence.

What I didn’t foresee was that the hardest part wouldn’t be the charts…

It would be the environment.

I’ve been quiet — not because of failure. I’m not new to failure. I failed my way here.

But because I’ve been self-regulating. Managing the uncontrollable. Learning to navigate this career while juggling responsibilities and unforeseen circumstances.

In the meantime?

We run.

We lift.

We backtest.

We show up — day in and day out.

And most importantly, we pray.

I can feel God pruning me.

I can sense the transformation He’s producing.

Sometimes I want to argue and say, “Lord… this is not the best time.” 😂

But even as I think it, I know — His ways are higher. And He is always right on time.

I can’t forget how far He’s brought me.

He loves me too much to leave me unchanged.

So we keep going.

Trading is hard.

But it isn’t harder than most things in life.

It requires persistence.

Dedication.

Study.

And an uncompromising amount of grit.

You need a long-term vision for this.

You can’t give it a year and quit.

This takes time.

So persist.

Trust God.

And keep going.

... Read moreTrading professionally is a journey that tests not only your technical skills but also your mental and emotional resilience. From my own experience, one of the greatest challenges isn’t understanding charts or strategies but maintaining a steady mindset in an unpredictable environment. The chaos around us can easily seep into our mindset if we’re not anchored properly. I found that aligning my daily routine with spiritual practices like prayer and meditation greatly helped me stay calm and focused. For example, starting my day with prayer sets an intention, grounding me before I face the volatile markets. Coupling this with physical activities such as running and lifting weights rejuvenates my energy and discipline, both of which are essential for the demands of day trading. Backtesting trades repeatedly can often become monotonous, but it’s a critical practice that builds confidence and refines strategy. I try to view it as a form of study that strengthens my understanding of patterns over time. This process, while tedious, is part of the persistence and dedication all traders must embrace. Furthermore, embracing a mindset of grit means accepting failure as part of the growth curve. I’ve experienced numerous setbacks, but each failure taught me more than success could. The key is to self-regulate emotions during tough times, allowing me to navigate the ‘uncontrollable’ elements like market swings and personal life distractions without losing focus. In addition to mental preparation, nurturing my 'feminine energy'—which to me means staying balanced, intuitive, and compassionate—helps in making thoughtful decisions rather than rushing into trades out of fear or greed. I also keep my soul nourished, enjoying simple pleasures like Cuban coffee and admiring the beauty of sunsets, which keeps me grounded amid a hectic lifestyle. In summary, successful trading hinges on maintaining a long-term vision, fueled by faith, persistence, and daily discipline. Trust that every challenge is a divine pruning process designed to shape your character and skills. This perspective not only refines your trading acumen but also transforms you into a more resilient individual over time.
