According to Section 10, Excise Act 2017.

Whoever "causes a new product or changes the original product."

So all these things are involved:

Rearrange the cells.

Repack / Retrofit

Move the case. Change the box.

Repair / include a new pack

Installed in hybrid work for customers

It is sold under the name of a store or company.

Even if the battery is used, even taken off the electric train, even if it's not imported.

🧾 What to do?

If your business is involved, the following actions must be taken:

1️⃣ Registered Industrial Operator (B.C. 01)

Notify that there is a battery assembly, modification or manufacturing activity.

2️⃣ for a production site license (B.C. 02)

Identify which locations are used to assemble / modify batteries.

3️⃣ to file a monthly excise tax (B.C. 05 or B.C. 07)

It depends on the production and distribution model.

4️⃣ Calculate excise duty.

Batteries have a tax rate of 10% -30% (as announced year-on-year).

The law clearly defines the penalty:
