R&B Vibes💃🏻💃🏻

It’s actually kind of cool when you run into a lot of your old videos that you did on TikTok during the 2020 era which I still do not miss but I’m glad I got to have fun dancing throughout that whole year that made me the happiest! #dancingrach #lipsync #ciara #vibing #rachs2020vids

I recently stumbled upon some old videos from that time – like one from Dec 12, 2020 – and it brought back such a flood of memories. I remember thinking, 'My clumsy ass is really out here trying to groove!' But you know what? It was pure, unadulterated fun, and thankfully, none of my neighbors saw me grinding the pole in my living room! 😂 R&B just hits different, especially when you need to shake off some stress. I was constantly curating playlists to get those perfect "2020 vibes songs" going. It wasn't just about the viral hits; I was digging deep into my favorites. I mean, who doesn't love a good throwback to artists like Jagged Edge? Their 'Head of Household' lyrics always set a certain mood, perfect for some smooth, uninhibited dancing. And for those truly soulful moments, I’d put on Lalah Hathaway; her 'Angel' lyrics are just timeless. Sometimes, R&B can be super nostalgic, making you think about past connections. I found myself listening to a lot of R&B songs about reconnecting with an old love, even if it was just me dancing in my living room. There’s something about the raw emotion in those tracks that's incredibly cathartic. And speaking of classics, the Brown Sugar soundtrack was always on heavy rotation – so many gems there! I also loved exploring different shades of R&B. I even dabbled in creating my own 'unique blend' playlist, mixing classic R&B with some electronic and pop influences. And for those truly deep-cut vibes, a good southern soul mix cd was always a treat. It’s amazing how music from different eras and subgenres can all contribute to that perfect dance party in your own space. TikTok really amplified the dance craze, didn't it? Seeing creators like Liyah Mai TikTok go viral with their moves inspired so many of us. Even if my moves were more on the 'clumsy' side, the sheer joy of just letting loose to my favorite R&B tracks like Ciara's was infectious. Those were the days when you didn't care who was watching (or not watching, in my neighbors' case!). It wasn't about perfection; it was about feeling the rhythm, expressing yourself, and just soaking in those good R&B vibes. If you’re ever feeling down, I highly recommend putting on your favorite R&B playlist from your personal '2020 vibes song' collection and just dancing like nobody’s watching. It works wonders, trust me!
