How I decorate w/ vintage items in my modern home!
The first picture is a hand painted picture of the grand Tetons, done by my wonderful grandmother ❤️
Most of these items are from yard/estate sale or are from family members. I didn’t spend more than $10 on any of them!
You can find a lot of vintage items at thrift stores or on Facebook marketplace. Most of the time people see them as old and things that don’t fit into their home decor.
Most vintage decor has tones that are throughout other areas of your home.
To decorate some vintage items into my modern home here’s what I do:
-Find similar colors that match the item in my home. Or add it to a color palette where it matches and put it in that area of the room.
-Any item can fit in! You can even make the vintage piece the center or eye-catcher of your decor. So it’s a good thing it stands out.
-Make sure the vintage piece is clean and in the best condition it can be before you place it!
