My trip to New York City 🌃 🍕🍝🚊
What an experience! Read my thoughts below if you’re interested! ⬇️
Time square: what’s the hype? 🤷♀️ it was cool to see the big advertising screens but other than that there wasn’t much there that interested me. Lots of art and food street vendors. Mind ya business and see what your there to see.
Rays pizza: quick affordable meal! It was good pizza and quick service with a spot to sit and take eat while I take a break. Huge slices will hold you over for a while until your ready for a sweet treat for desert. 🍕
American museum of natural history: it was busy but the museum is so big there’s plenty of room to spread out and look at other things. Tons of cool exhibits. Near Central Park but I unfortunately didn’t have time to stop there and it was raining. 🦖🦕
Empire State Building: this was pretty cool. We chose the package that took you up to the 102nd floor and it was worth it. The 82nd floor had decent views but is surrounded by a protective fence which can be tricky with pictures. The 102nd room was smallish but had better views with it being a glass walled room. The elevators had cute little animations to tell you story’s which was cool. Worth it if you’re already there or nearby. 🌃
Cannoli king: Honestly the food was my favorite part of NYC! In little Italy we stopped at cannoli king and got a bunch of desserts to try. We got a crème brûlée, two different cannolis (vanilla and cookies and cream) and a slice of strawberry New York cheesecake. They were all phenomenal! The cannoli king is famous and he should be because that food was worth every penny! 🍽️
Pasta de pasta: mmmmmm this was also SO good. I LOVE pasta and cheese so I the fact they mixed your pasta in a giant cheese bowl before adding the toppings was enough to convince me it was going to be good. It was a large portion and so flavorful! I’ll be craving this pasta every day of my life until I get it again. 🍝
Public hotel: stunning views, nice rooms, a few fun photo ops. A little pricey but everything in NY is. We stayed in smaller rooms but got a room with a view the second night. There’s food places, a rooftop bar and a night club in the hotel. 🏨
Intrepid museum: this was actually bigger than I thought it was going to be. A cool museum to see how life was on the ships. Piers with things to do nearby. ⛴️
Ending with these random thoughts: 🚗🐀🚊💰
I think everyone should spend a few days in New York atleast once in their lives. It’s fast paced, busy and expensive. We were there for 3 days and 2 nights and I only saw 2 rats so I think that’s good? Get gas before you get in the city. City driving is crazy. People, bikes and cars flying around at all angles so just have that GPS up and be ready to pay attention. We took the subway a lot and it does save a lot of time and is a whole experience in itself. There’s all kinds of people there so just be respectful and mind your business. Keep you and your personal items and information safe and just enjoy the views and experiences.
