I have the physical book plus I have the e-book on my phone and I sent my phone to where it will read the book to me and I follow along in my physical book and I also like to put some sort of soft background music to play in the background while I’m reading & I try to match it along with the book I am reading right. I have a dark Academy piano and cello playing in the background. Because the book is set in a castle and it reminds me of a dark gothic setting.
*For you to turn on text to speech so it will read any e-book that you have to you without purchasing the audiobook if you have a iPhone or iPad I’m not sure on android because I do not have one.
First you will go to.
1. Settings.
2. Accessibility.
3. spoken content
4. Tap on speak screen
Then go to
5. Speech controller
6. Change long press to None.
7. Change double tap to Read all content.
Or you can do it vice versa if you would prefer to long press instead of double tap.
And for it to continuously read, the screen has to stay on you cannot lock your phone and it continue to play.
Then I recommend to change the voice. I selected the English language, of course then I selected on Siri and I chose Voice # 2 because it doesn’t sound as robotic. But you can play around with all of the voices and select the one you like most. You can even change the voice depending on the book that you were reading for instance if the book is set in Ireland then you can change the voice to match how they would sound in Ireland.
