Ranch Pickle Pizza

At first this sounded gross, but I had it at a fair one time and decided to recreate it at home.

Make some homemade dough with flour, yeast and water (look up a recipie) add lots of dill and some salt to the dough to add some flavor to the crust. No one likes a bland crust. I am salt sensitive so I didn't measure it, sorry.

Then you roll it out as big as your heart desires. get yourself some BUTTERMILK Dipping ranch like they use at the resturants. For mine I used one of the ones from Culver's that comes with the tenders, one was not enough, if u want to taste the ranch without drowning it in ranch I'd use 2 but you can always just measure with your heart I guess. Then of course one dill pickle spear cut up into pieces, cheddar and mozzarella cheese and bake at 450 for 12-18 minutes.

If you want to elevate this dish even more, start with making your own dough at home. Adding dill and a pinch of salt to the dough not only brings out a fresh herbal aroma but also gives the crust a unique, tasty profile that stands out from standard pizza bases. When selecting the buttermilk ranch dressing, it’s better to choose one with a bold flavor, similar to the ones served at popular fast-food restaurants. Brands like Culver’s are well-known for their rich and tangy ranch, which perfectly complements the pickles' acidity. For those who love ranch, layering extra dressing before baking or serving some on the side enhances each bite. Dill pickles bring crunch and a touch of sourness, balancing the richness of the cheeses. Using both cheddar and mozzarella cheeses adds depth with their sharp and melty qualities, ensuring every mouthful is luscious. Try using thick-cut pickle spears to maintain crunchiness after baking or add them fresh after the pizza cools slightly for an extra texture contrast. Baking the pizza at a high temperature like 450°F ensures that the crust crisps up nicely while the cheese melts into a golden bubbly topping. Keep an eye on the bake time between 12 to 18 minutes depending on your oven to avoid overcooking. For even more flavor boosts, consider adding thin slices of red onion or crispy bacon to the topping for smoky, savory layers. Alternatively, a sprinkle of freshly chopped chives or dill after baking ties the flavors together and adds a fresh finish. Ranch Pickle Pizza is perfect to serve at casual gatherings or as a fun homemade treat for fans of bold and unconventional tastes. It’s a creative way to enjoy the classic flavors of ranch and pickle on a comforting yet exciting pizza base.
